Debut Creative LLC (“Debut,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website debutphotos.com, a self-serve AI photo generator. You upload photos of yourself, we set up a private AI model of your appearance, and you generate new AI-created photos of yourself. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

By using our website or services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Information We Collect

Account information: Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and Google account identifier. We do not use passwords.

Your selfies: The photos of yourself that you upload to set up your AI model. These are stored privately and are the core input to the service.

Your appearance profile: A structured description of your appearance (such as gender presentation, approximate age, ethnicity, eye color, hair, and facial hair). Our AI drafts this from your selfies and you review, correct, and confirm it. It exists to make your generated photos look like you.

Generated photos: The AI-created photos and edits we produce for you, along with the settings used to create them.

Purchase information: Your plan, credit balance, and purchase history. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not collect, store, or have access to your card number or full payment details. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

Website usage data: We use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel to collect information about how visitors interact with our website. This may include your IP address, approximate location, browser type, device data, pages visited, time spent on the site, referring URL, and click events. This data is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies.

Your Selfies, Your Face, and Your AI Model

This section matters more than the rest, so here it is plainly.

What we do: To make photos that look like you, our systems analyze the facial features in the selfies you upload. When you upload your selfies, you give us your explicit consent to process your facial features for this purpose. We use that analysis only to set up your private AI model, generate and edit your photos, and run automated likeness and quality checks on the results.

What we never do: We never use your selfies, your face, or your photos to train AI models for anyone else. We never sell them, never share them for advertising, and never use them in our own marketing without your separate, explicit written consent. Your AI model works only for your account.

How long we keep them: Your selfies power your AI model, so they are retained while your account is active in order for you to keep generating new photos. You can remove individual selfies from your model page and permanently delete any generated photo from your gallery at any time. When you delete a photo or selfie, it is removed from our storage. If you want everything gone, email hello@debutphotos.com and we will delete your selfies, your AI model data, your generated photos, and your account records within 30 days of your request, except for records we are legally required to keep (such as purchase records).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide the service, including setting up your AI model and generating and editing your photos; run automated quality, likeness, and safety checks on generated content; send transactional emails (sign-in links, notifications that your model or photos are ready); process payments and maintain your credit balance; improve our website and measure marketing through analytics; and comply with legal obligations.

How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your photos are stored in private cloud storage and are accessible only through short-lived signed links tied to your account. Account data lives in a managed database. We use encrypted connections throughout. No method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

Third-Party Services We Use

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with a small number of vendors that power our service, each limited to the purpose described below.

fal.ai: runs the AI image generation that creates your photos. Your selfies (or a subset of them) and the descriptions of the photos you request are sent to fal.ai to generate each image. fal.ai's privacy policy.

Anthropic (Claude): we use Claude to run the automated likeness and quality check on every generated photo, to pick your best reference selfies, and to draft your appearance profile. Anthropic processes content via API and, per their API privacy commitments, does not train on API content.

Cloudflare: provides the private cloud storage (R2) where your selfies and generated photos live. Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Vercel: hosts our website and runs our backend functions. Vercel's privacy policy.

Neon: provides our managed Postgres database, where we store your account data, appearance profile, and photo metadata. Neon's privacy policy.

Stripe: processes payments. Stripe receives billing information directly from you at checkout; we never see your full card details. Stripe's privacy policy.

Resend: delivers our transactional emails, such as sign-in links and notifications that your photos are ready. Resend's privacy policy.

Google Analytics 4: measures site traffic and engagement. Our property ID is G-437EDQZ7P6. Google's privacy policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Meta Pixel: we use Meta's tracking pixel (dataset ID 2067214470514633) on our site to measure ad performance and to retarget visitors on Facebook and Instagram. Your selfies and generated photos are never sent to Meta. Meta's privacy policy.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

We do not share your photos or personal information with any other third parties unless you provide separate, explicit consent.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses the following cookies and tracking technologies:

Essential cookies: required for the website to function, such as the session cookie that keeps you signed in. These cannot be disabled.

Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics (e.g. _ga, _ga_*) to measure how visitors use our site.

Advertising cookies: set by the Meta Pixel (e.g. _fbp, _fbc) to measure ad performance and enable retargeting on Facebook and Instagram.

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized advertising through Meta ad preferences and the Google Analytics opt-out. Disabling analytics or advertising cookies will not affect your ability to use our service.

Where Your Data Is Processed

Debut is operated from the United States and our services are directed to users in the United States. If you use the service from elsewhere, you understand that your information is processed in the United States and in the regions where our vendors operate.

Your Rights

You can: request access to the personal information we hold about you; request correction of any inaccurate information; delete individual selfies and photos yourself from within the app; request full deletion of your data and account; opt out of marketing communications at any time; and opt out of analytics tracking through your browser or the opt-out tools above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If we ever materially change how we handle your selfies or your AI model, we will notify you by email before the change takes effect.
