Debut is sold as one-time purchases that grant credits, which you spend on generating and editing photos. This policy covers two things: the automatic credit refunds built into the product, and money-back refunds to your card.
Automatic Credit Refunds (Built In)
You never pay for photos we fail to deliver. Every generated photo passes an automated likeness and quality check. If a photo fails the check and we cannot produce a replacement, the credits for it are refunded to your balance automatically. The same applies to photo edits: if an edit does not pass the check after our retries, the edit's credits are refunded automatically. No request is needed; this happens on its own and you will see it reflected in your credit balance.
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are not happy with your photos, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase, as long as you have not downloaded any photos. Generating photos does not affect your eligibility, no matter how many credits you spend trying; downloading a photo means you found one you want to keep, which is what the guarantee is about. Requests made more than 30 days after purchase are not eligible.
If you have downloaded photos but something still went genuinely wrong, email us anyway and we will work with you to make it right.
Credit Top-Up Packs
Top-up packs are refundable in full within 30 days of purchase if the credits are unused. Once top-up credits have been spent, they are not refundable, except through the automatic credit refunds described above.
How to Request a Refund
Email us at hello@debutphotos.comwith the subject line “Refund Request” from the email address on your account, and tell us briefly what went wrong. That last part is optional but helps us improve. We will respond within 5 business days.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method through Stripe. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer. When a purchase is refunded, the credits it granted (and any photos generated with them that you have not paid for) are removed from your account.
One Refund Per Customer
Our money-back guarantee is limited to one refund per customer. If you purchase again after receiving a refund, subsequent purchases are not eligible for another money-back refund. Automatic credit refunds are not limited and always apply.
Non-Refundable Situations
Money-back refunds will not be issued for: requests made more than 30 days after purchase; purchases where photos have been downloaded (outside of the discretionary exception above); dissatisfaction with outcomes on third-party platforms, which we cannot guarantee; or accounts terminated for violating our Terms.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
